53years

My grandparents have been together for 53 years. I am examining their imagery in regards to my personal work to make connections and a conversation between the two.

These are two images I have worked on for my critique tomorrow. I have now begun to layer my own images over my grandparents slides. I find this to be more emotional and nostalgic than the previous post I made.

Old and New

I suppose I'll start with the old. The project above is one I have been exploring for about a year and a half. I am expanding and moving forward with my abstractions and my ideas. To see more about this original project check out my website. 

This is the new. Having figured out how personal my abstractions were, I have set out to make my work about my grandparents relationship and family. Through abstracting their lives through my tools, either with my camera making present work, or using their own imagery, I will examine the 53 years they have spent together and my feelings about the inevitable.
